Design & Ordering
Our fundamental objective is to provide our customers with high quality, totally bespoke timber buildings that represent
outstanding value for money. To us every project is unique and we approach each one with a totally flexible outlook and no preconceptions.
Our initial task is to understand your requirements in respect of the building’s intended purpose, the proposed size of the building together with any constraints imposed by the site, planning permission and so on.
We also need to get a feel for your preferred style of building, whether this is a traditional rustic timber clad lodge style building or a modernistic rendered design.
Usually we ask our customers to provide a rough sketch of their chosen floor plan. Alternatively you could base your design on one of the many layouts that we have built before and then modify this to you exact needs. If the design is a simple one we will generally be able to complete the design using our own experienced in house design team.
For more complicated projects we will need a full set of architectural drawings. To this end we are more than happy to use an existing design and work with your own architect if you have one.
Alternatively we will pass the initial design on to our own architects who will complete the design, confirming and agreeing any costs with you before proceeding. Naturally you will every opportunity to discuss and refine the design until it meets your precise requirements.
Once the design has been finalised then we will prepare a comprehensive quote and specification for you to review. This will include a detailed specification together with the final design drawings. It will also include all relevant information about warranties, payment terms, delivery dates and so forth.
It will also include the order paperwork for you to complete. Assuming that you are happy to proceed, then the next step is for you to confirm the order and make an initial deposit payment.
Once we have received your order will issue an order acknowledgement together with a provisional delivery schedule which will typically be around 12 weeks from order but could be earlier. During this time we will confirm the site preparation and delivery requirements with you.
